Convoy Cup 2016: September 9 - 11

The 9th Annual Convoy Cup weekend.

This year, the Dartmouth Yacht Club and the Convoy Cup Foundation will again sponsor the Halifax Convoy Cup for sail and power vessels.

These competitions have taken place every two years since 2002. This 9th running of the Convoy Cup will feature an ocean race, habour races, a ceremonial sailpast of HMCS Sackville, and an awards reception with veterans and honoured guests.

The Convoy Cup recognizes the historical contribution of the port of Halifax to the convoy lifeline to Europe during World War II and honours the sacrifices made by our veterans.

The Convoy Cup recognizes the historical contribution of the port of Halifax to the convoy lifeline to Europe during World War II, and perpetuates the memory of the courageous men and women of the merchant marine, navy and air force.

We continue to honour the sacrifices made by veterans of past and present conflicts, who contributed so much to the peace and security we enjoy today.
